During the competition, the only runway at 54AZ will be in use by our competitors. Transient aircraft should plan to arrive BEFORE the start of the competition begins. Otherwise, the air bosses will suggest holding arrivals until it is safe to land. Monitor Unicom on 123.0 and report positions. Please fly aware!

Between 10:00 and 11:00am – Competition Begins! There will be a one hour lunch break and pilot meet and greet mid-day.

Camping
Please Pre-Register for any RV, Tent, or Aircraft Camping.
Camping inside the airfield is reserved and extremely limited! Reserve your camping TODAY AT THIS LINK.
If arriving by RV or car, please placard in your windshield that says “CAMPER” to help our volunteers route you to the correct location. If arriving by plane, plan to land on the main runway and taxi to the STOL area.
Hotel Information
We have set up a group rate at the Cocopah Casino & Resort, just 3 minutes from Somerton Airport. To receive the reduced rate of $90.95 per night (Thursday-Sunday), please CALL the hotel directly and and mention group code STOL.
NOTE: Bookings must be made by Thursday, April 13th. After this date, any remaining rooms will be released to the general public. The group code will not work for online bookings.
