The shortest landing was 185.08 feet, also by Jeff Pohl. Joel Dopson had the second shortest landing in the class at 211.16 feet.

Notables: Austin Clemens (17 year old, STOL Competition Rookie) won the class with the shortest landing of the class at 117.41 feet using Aviat Husky A-1C. Second Place, Gary Ward, was also a rookie STOL competitor. Chuck Kinberger had the shortest and most consistent takeoffs at 93.41 ft and 94.5 feet.

Notables: Jan Eggenfellner had remarkably consistent runs with both runs only having a difference of .17 feet (2 inches) total. Jay Stanford’s first time in our competition, with the lowest takeoff distance of 87.5 feet. Jay also had the shortest landing distance at 152.16 feet. This is John Wisdom’s second consecutive 2nd place finish. He also placed 2nd in Lonestar STOL. Amir Bayani was also extremely consistent with landings at 198.58 feet and 197.08 feet.

Notables: Steve Henry had the shortest takeoff in the class at 43.16 feet. The shortest landing was also Steve Henry at 86.66 feet. Landings were considerably more competitive, with Connor Simmons’ shortest landing at 91.91 feet. Tony Armour’s Takeoff and Landing distance were almost identical at 167 and 167.5 feet. Cameron and Connor Simmons are brothers with different Cubcrafters CC11s, but are remarkably close in the contest. Jon Humberd’s Round 2 landing distance was the max score because he opted not to stop.
