To our incredible community of pilots, aviation enthusiasts, and friends,
On June 23, the National STOL Series experienced a devastating setback. A vehicle fire resulted in the total loss of our event trailer and with it, all of our physical assets – the very equipment that brings our events to life. From our measurement and radio systems to our sound equipment, branding materials, merchandise, and cameras, everything was lost.
Thankfully, and most importantly, no one was seriously injured. We are incredibly grateful for the safety of our team.

For those who have been with us from the beginning, you know that the National STOL Series is more than just a competition. It’s a community. It’s a platform for showcasing the incredible skill of STOL pilots and a place for families and aviation lovers to gather and share their passion. We have always been driven by a mission to grow the sport of STOL aviation and inspire the next generation of aviators.
This fire has tested our resolve, but it has not broken our spirit. The heart of the National STOL Series has always been its people – our pilots, our volunteers, our partners, and our fans. That is something a fire can never touch. We have been moved by the incredible wave of support and the immediate question from so many: “How can we help?”
Today, we are asking for your support to rise from these ashes. We have a clear and actionable plan to rebuild, and with your help, we can come back stronger than ever. The funds raised through this campaign will be directly invested in the essential equipment needed to continue our 2025 season and beyond.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will send a powerful message: that this community is resilient, and that the future of STOL aviation is bright. Let’s come together to rebuild the National STOL Series and continue to create the unforgettable experiences we are known for.
Thank you for your unwavering support. We look forward to seeing you on the runway soon.
Blue Skies,
The National STOL Series Team

Our next event, Sodbusters STOL in Hartford, WI, is traditionally one of our most well-attended and beloved competitions, as it takes place just before EAA AirVenture and a short distance away from Oshkosh.
Instead of selling tickets, we are turning Sodbusters into a grassroots fundraising initiative. We invite you to attend and make a donation, purchase a t-shirt, and/or participate in our Silent Auction. Our primary objective is to bring the community together be reminded that the people are what makes National STOL so special…Come for the airplanes, stay for the people.
