SWAMP STOL is an exhilarating aviation fly-in and STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) competition set to return for the 6th time to Jennings, Louisiana, on April 10 and 11. As the longest running National STOL event in the same location, we are excited to kick off the 2026 season with Cajun hospitality and one of the most spectator and pilot friendly venues on the schedule.

National STOL events aim to be a family friendly day out at the airport for both airplane enthusiasts and those new to general aviation! Be sure to check the weather and plan accordingly with hats, sunblock, jackets, or rain gear as necessary. Food trucks will be available, or you are welcome to bring small coolers. Camping chairs are encouraged!

Returning in 2026, purchase a ticket in our tented VIP Section for shade, provided chairs, light snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages (Saturday only).

One ticket provides access for the entire weekend. Our venue is Jennings Airport (3R7) in Jennings, LA.

Event Map and Directions

Our venue is Jennings Airport (3R7) in Jennings, LA.

If you are flying in:

Monitor UNICOM 122.8. Advise upon landing if you are a competitor, underwing camping, or departing the same day. This will aid in directing you to the appropriate parking area. We highly recommend you schedule your arrival and departure OUTSIDE of the scheduled practice and competition windows. During these time periods, our air bosses will advise you of competition traffic and may ask you to hold for a break in between heats.

If you are driving in: Please monitor the weather. Wet weather may necessitate a change in plans, which will be communicated via social media and the National STOL mailing list.

For General Parking: From I-10, take Exit 64 for LA-26E/Elton Road. Continue down Elton Road for just over half a mile before turning right onto Airport Road. Watch for National STOL parking signs directing you into the grass lot(see route in BLUE on detail map linked below).

For Camping: Detailed drive in directions will be provided in your informational email sent the week of the event.
